Bluesfest celebrated their 20th anniversary this year and 5 TARA grads were there to help out. Liam Price-Foley, Alex Major, Francis Aube, Wade Foster, Jon Reckenberg all spent time working with the pros from Wall Sound& Lighting behind the sound boards on the 4 stages at Bluesfest.
Neil from Wall Sound& Lighting said to us that even though this was their craziest time of the year, they wanted to work with our grads, as “it’s an experience we would have loved to have when we were starting out”.
The guys all had a great experience; here are a couple of comments from them
Wade:
The access I was given to the stages as well as the knowledge of the crew was amazing. I learned a lot about the setup and mixing as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and treated it as a musical holiday as well as learning from some of the best in the area.
Liam:
All the Wall Sound personnel were friendly and helpful, they ran you through the board at each stage and answered any question you had. It was fun and interesting to experience how things run behind the scene and to be able to shadow sound for bands that I listen to was the best thing I could ask for having just come out of college.
